Be Trained by Barringtons Diploma of Work Health and Safety is designed to educate and assist individuals who coordinate and maintain the Work Health and Safety program in an organisation. It reflects the role of practitioners who apply a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of WHS contexts.
Core Units
- BSBWHS513 – Lead WHS risk management
- BSBWHS515 – Lead initial response to and investigate WHS incidents
- BSBWHS516 – Contribute to developing, implementing and maintaining an organisation’s WHS management system
- BSBWHS519 – Lead the development and use of WHS risk management tools
- BSBWHS522 – manage WHS consultation and participation processes
Elective Units
- BSBWHS517 – Contribute to managing a WHS information system
- BSBWHS518 – Manage WHS hazards associated with maintenance and use of plant
- BSBWHS520 – Manage implementation of emergency procedures
- BSBSTR502 – Facilitate continuous improvement
- BSBSUS511 – Develop workplace policies and procedures for sustainability
This course takes approximately 12 months to complete.
This course has a standard enrolment fee of $6,500 per person. Funding may be available for eligible Apprentices and Trainees who are Full Time Employees (and have been employed for less than 3 months) or Part Time Employees (working a minimum of 21 hours a week and have been employed for less than 12 months).
