Audience
Supervisors and team leaders play a crucial role in setting the tone for a safe and supportive workplace. In hospitality, high pressure environments and challenges such as customer aggression, gambling harm, and workplace trauma can have a significant impact on staff wellbeing and resilience.
A NSW Government review of workplace safety has reinforced that psychological health is just as important as physical health, with recent changes to the WHS Act requiring employers to address psychosocial risks and provide meaningful support to their teams.
This course is designed for supervisors and team leaders in registered clubs.
Job Outcomes
The aim of this course is to provide an insight into mental health awareness at work. The goal is to give you the information and tools you need to recognise, evaluate, and respond to signs of mental health in your workplace.
Course Information
Supervisors in hospitality often manage fast paced, high pressure environments where the wellbeing of staff can be directly influenced by how challenges are handled on the floor. Handling customer aggression, supporting team members after critical incidents, and fostering a positive workplace culture are all part of their role.
Hospitality workers are more likely than other industries to experience workplace stress, fatigue, and exposure to trauma, making early recognition and supportive leadership essential.
This course is designed for supervisors and team leaders in registered clubs.
